Silver Streak HIDEOUT 1968 by Ideal

The rare Captain Action Silver Streak Hideout.  A Sears exclusive, the box could be converted into a garage for the Silver Streak.  The sides of the box had three doors which were designed to be cut out as in this picture.
The short side of the box served as the main bay doors to the garage in which the Silver Streak was housed.  A variety of cardboard cutouts served to fashion the radar antenna, two guns and warning light above the garage doors.
Here is a shot of the accessories on an uncut card.  The instruction sheet contained details on how to convert the box into the hideout.
This picture of the back end of the box provides details of the radar dish and guns.  For those who were not sharp enough to figure it out for themselves, Ideal made sure to instruct the owner to "Open Other End"
Finally, a picture of Captain Action and Action Boy with their Silver Streak in front of the hideout, ready for action.
We want to extend special thanks to Jeff Dunham for providing us these excellent pics of a very rare item in such excellent shape.  If you are interested in obtaining this hide out you can contact him at JJalapeno@aol.com
