Captain Action's Anti-Gravitational
Power Pack. Also known as the "Jet Pack", it was packaged in a colorful
10" by 10.5" display box with a color backing card. An extraordinary
display item, arguably the best of the accessories sets. The accessories,
as listed on the box, are the Jet Propelled Thrust Ejector / Multi-Cycle
Hand Controls, Aero Dynamic Flight Helmet, Cosmic Boots and Gloves, and
Belt.

Jet Propelled Thrust Ejector with
Multi-Cycle Hand Controls, from the back. Blue plastic with yellow,
red and chrome finishing, and two blue vinyl straps. The Thrust Ejector
has three fuel cells, and a series of chrome pipes between them.
On the top it has two chrome pipes which serve as the exhaust ports for
the pack.

Jet Propelled Thrust Ejector with
Multi-Cycle Hand Controls, from the front. Not as ornate as the back,
since this is the part which comes in contact with the Captain. The
vinyl straps go over the shoulders and attach to the two hand controls.
The Chrome plated hand controls swivel up and down, so they can be put
in the upright position when not in use. They are fragile and easily
broken. They attach to the cylinder at the bottom of the pack.

Aero Dynamic Flight Helmet,
top and front view. Rubber with silver paint and a blue stripe across
the top. It appears to have popped out of the same mold as the helmet
from the Steve Canton set (although that one is hard plastic). The
helmet has a rubber chin strap (easily lost). This rare example actually
has all its paint. It is mint. In fact, its so minty your breath
gets fresher just being around it. Very minty.

 |
Cosmic Gloves, back and front.
They are a silverish colored latex rubber. One of the two pairs of
gloves that Ideal made for Captain Action (the other set was a more solid
black rubber and came with Buck Rogers). They also work very well
with the Flash Gordon set. Never go into space without gloves.
|
 |
Cosmic Boots, left and right, side
and bottom view. Silver plastic boots, both are the same. Similar
to the Flash Gordon boots, but these don't have the ridge on top or the
treads on the bottom, and they have a heel. They make a nice change
from the standard black boots that the Captain usually wears.
|
 |
Belt. Blue rubber with a yellow
lightning bolt on the buckle. Look familiar? Its similar to
the belt that comes with Captain Action, but it is longer and doesn't have
the loop for the lightning sword. So don't be fooled, if your Power
Pack belt has a loop, its the wrong one.
